No matter. I still enjoyed the challenge and look forward to tackling 12 things I would like to do in 2012. So, without further ado and in no particular order... here are 12 things I would like to do in 2012:
1. Write my sister a letter every month. In ink. On pages. And get it in the mail before the 30th of every month (no cheating with emails or blog print outs).
2. Take the kids geocaching. At least once.
3. Remodel my kitchen. I'll give G a few more weeks before I start pushing harder but I want a new kitchen and I'm tired of waiting for one.
4. Finish the backyard -- come Hell or High Water even if I have to hire someone this WILL get finished this year. I can't believe we've let it drag on this long. GAH.
5. Take the kids to Quebec City.
6. Go to Medieval Times (I've wanted to do this for like ever!)
7. Go tobogganing if we ever actually get snow.
8. Eat at a fancy restaurant -- not a chain -- with my husband. I'm thinking here. G's been and said it's fantastic.
9. Spend time with my parents. They've FINALLY (HALLELUJAH!) retired! I couldn't be happier. I plan on going over to cook for them a few times this year.
10. Go back to England and actually tour a castle. And if possible go inside Westminster Abbey.
11. Submit my book for publication. And if that doesn't work, e-publish it. And if that doesn't work, print out a couple of dozen copies and send them to my friends. This of course means I have to finish editing it.
12. Try one new recipe a week. Something I've never made before and might even find a little intimidating. And blog about it of course ;)
